Who you are contracting with
tabbal is provided by Untold Collective Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14767932. These terms are an agreement between you and that company, and are governed by the law of England and Wales.
What tabbal is
tabbal helps you record who paid for what and track your own spending. It is a ledger, not a bank: it never moves money. Settling up happens outside the app, through whatever payment method you and your friends choose.
Your account
You need to be at least 16 to use tabbal. Keep your sign-in email secure; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.
Accuracy
Balances are calculated from what you and your group members enter. Currency conversions use the daily rate from the day of each transaction and are shown for convenience; the amount originally entered is always kept. Receipt scanning uses automated reading and can make mistakes — check the items before you confirm.
Scan credits
Manual entry is free. Receipt scanning uses credits, which you can buy through the App Store or Google Play. Credits are consumed when a scan completes successfully and are not refundable except where the law requires it. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use tabbal to store content you have no right to, to harass other members, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Liability
tabbal is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from incorrect entries, missed payments between members, or interruptions to the service.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
